THERMADOR KITCHEN

 

Project Brief

During some down time, I had the opportunity to join the Thermador STUDENT CONCEPT KITCHEN competition. The goal of this competition was to design an exceptional kitchen space that is both functional and beautiful, for a hypothetical client. Requirements of the project included:

  • Kitchen should be a minimum of 200 square feet

  • Project must have a maximum budget of $250,000

  • Design must include at least three (3) primary Thermador appliances

  • Follow all official design guidelines

For this project, I chose myself as the "client" and designed my dream kitchen. My goal was to create a space filled with natural light, warm tones, and ample storage while adding in a pop of color.

After completing the model and adding in the materials, I then prepared my model for rendering. I utilized VRAY for Sketchup to edit/prepare materials, as well as to plan out lighting. In additionm, lighting was also added within the cabinetry to further enhance and add to the overall details of the kitchen. Once rendered in VRAY, I imported the images into photoshop for post processing.
